What kind of equipment do you use?
Canine Cardio uses state of the art Slatmills. A slatmill is a type of non-motorized treadmill specifically designed for dogs, commonly used in dog conditioning, training, and fitness programs.
We provide the leash and proper fitted harness as well.
Can only certain breeds benefit from this service?
Slatmills are not limited to specific breeds, but some breeds benefit more due to their physical and mental traits/demands.
Some dogs may still use slatmills, but with extra rest breaks such as small breeds, overweight/senior dogs, and Brachycephalic breeds.
How long are the workouts?
While our workouts are designed to last up to 30 minutes, the actual duration depends entirely on your dog’s needs and comfort level. Your dog’s health and safety are always our top priority, and rest breaks are built into every session.
If your dog isn’t ready to jump on the slatmill right away, no worries — we have a variety of enrichment activities available to keep them engaged. stimulated, and happy!

Do I have to be home for the workout?

You're absolutely welcome to be present during your dog's workout—but it's completely up to you! If you'd prefer not to be there, no problem at all.
Just like with other trusted pet services, you can provide us with an alternative way to access your home (such as a key code or instructions), and we’ll take care of everything. Your dog will still get the same safe, fun, and personalized workout experience—whether you're home or not.
